The MAT Clinician is a counseling professional who provides treatment and support to assist individuals in their recovery from addiction, assists with modifying problem behaviors; maintains standards of professional counseling practice in accordance with clinic policies and procedures; participates as an interdisciplinary team member to facilitate the best experience and positive clinical outcome. This position is within an innovative program at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Middleton, MA. The MAT Clinician utilizes an assessment tool to determine the needs of patients to structure treatment. Following the established curriculum, the MAT Clinician provides support through a case management model to include individual sessions and group sessions.

- Assessment focused to help clients figure out the needs and goals going forward.
- Run group sessions with a curriculum provided and co-facilitator to help
- Meet 1:1 once a month to discuss challenges in the facility, outside of the facility and discuss how their recovery is going.
