What I liked
There was a ton of flexibility and ownership built into the internship. From the beginning, I was asked about my preferences and skillsets to shape my primary intern projects. Although it did take some time to become familiar with the terminology and processes on my own, I appreciated the ownership entrusted to me on my work.
I really enjoyed the various communities we were plugged into right away as interns, and these opportunities were essential to getting to know the team members of my org, other interns through my cohort, co-workers from ERGs that spearheaded company-wide initiatives. Despite working from home over the summer, I had people to talk to everyday and found side projects to join in on or pick up.
